Voluntary blood donation is recognized globally as a noble and profound act, embodying an individual’s responsibility to the community and a deep sense of compassion for fellow human beings. This act is often encapsulated by the powerful message, “A drop of blood donated - A life remains.” Driven by this significant humanitarian purpose, the blood donation movement has been enthusiastically and actively embraced by the staff and employees of Minh Viet Global Group (MVTC) for many years. Extending beyond its internal workforce, this meaningful event also saw the dedicated participation and support of many of Minh Viet's valued partners and customers.
The commitment of MVTC to corporate social responsibility (CSR) is firmly cemented through activities like the annual blood drive, which is a testament to the Group’s core values of mutual support and community engagement. Such regular events ensure a continuous contribution to critical public health initiatives.
On the morning of December 14, 2023, the Charity Committee of Minh Viet Global Group successfully coordinated with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of the Central Hospital to host the program titled “The Festival of Red Blood - Spreading Love with Minh Viet 2023.” This highly anticipated event was anchored by the enduring and inspiring message: "A drop of blood donated - A life remains."
This initiative is a cornerstone of MVTC’s annual CSR calendar, serving as one of the most significant, meaningful, and practical activities undertaken by the Group. It not only addresses an urgent societal need but also reinforces a culture of altruism within the organization. The consistency of this annual event demonstrates Minh Viet Global Group’s long-term commitment to public health.
The event was marked by the presence of key figures from the Group, highlighting the leadership's dedication to the cause. Representing Minh Viet Global Group were Mr. Pham Van Thanh, Chairman of the Group's Board of Directors, and Mr. Phan Huu Quan, Head of the Charity Committee. Their attendance underscored the importance the management places on volunteerism. Crucially, the event saw the participation of nearly 100 employees of the company, showing a widespread commitment from the workforce. The Central Hospital, which played a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of the donation process, was represented by a dedicated team of doctors and nurses.
A notable aspect of the 2023 blood drive was the strong turnout and support from MVTC's network of partners and customers. Their willingness to contribute precious blood units alongside Minh Viet’s staff significantly amplified the event's impact. Key participating organizations that contributed to the success of the drive included:
96 Environmental Technology Trading, Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company
Van Su Loi Trading and Production Co., Ltd.
Labor Export Center
Their involvement transforms the event from a corporate initiative into a broad community effort, demonstrating a shared commitment to societal welfare across multiple enterprises.
The humanitarian blood donation program achieved remarkable success, mobilizing a total of over 130 units of blood. These valuable donations will be promptly added to the city's critical blood reserve fund, ensuring essential resources are available for emergency situations and the ongoing treatment of patients in need.
This tangible, annual contribution by Minh Viet Global Group is designed to achieve multiple objectives. Primarily, it serves as a robust platform for communicating and educating employees on the profound positive significance of voluntary blood donation. Furthermore, the event serves to honor and uphold the cherished tradition of mutual love, support, and compassion, showcasing the Group's collective enthusiasm and readiness to share with and support the broader community.
The successful collection of over 130 units of blood represents more than just a measurable outcome; it is a powerful symbol of the immense generosity and goodwill extended by all volunteers. This includes senior managers, dedicated employees, and valued company customers. Their collective contribution reflects a deep-seated desire to assist less fortunate patients who are facing health crises and urgently require life-saving support. This selfless act embodies the true spirit of corporate and community altruism, making a significant difference in the lives of many.
